The deviding range that separates western Bhutan from central and eastern Bhutanone could come across the valley with meadows where sheeps and Yaks graze.hillside will be full of bamboos grown. Further one could also try to spot speciality called the Wren Babbler taking refuge underneath those bamboos. The Rhododendorn blooming over the hillsides in the months of april and june will be awesome.
Trongsa Dzong:
Built in 1648, both first and second king of Bhutan ruled the country from this ancient seat. All five Kings were invested as governer of Trongsa (Trongsa Poenlop) prior to ascending the throne. Is an important administrative building, providing the headquarters of the government of Yrongsa District. It is also a major monastic complex, with around 200 monks, during the summer months, the monastic community often relocates to Kurji Lhakang.
Ta Dzong:
The museum is dedicated to the monarchs of the kingdom. Situated strategically above the Trongsa Dzong, the Ta Dzong served as the watch tower for centuries. It was built by Choeji Minjur Tempa, the first governer of Trongsa in 1652. Was a watch tower once guarded Trongsa Dzong from internal rebellion; it has got four observation points resembling Tiger, Lion, Garuda, and Dragon.
Thruepang Palace:
The palace is situated just above the motor road right next to the gate that leads to the Trongsa Dzong, before entering the proper Trongsa. Is the birth place of our late king Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, on 2nd may 1928, His Majesty was born to King Jigme Wangchuk and Ashi Phuntsho Choden. The King spent most of his early childhood days travelling within Thruepang, Kuenga Rabten and Wangdichoeling palace.
Chendebji Chorten:
En route to Trongsa is Chendebji Chorten, patterned on Kathmandu’s Swayambhunath Stupa, with eyes painted at the four cardinal points. It was built in the 18th century by lam Zhida, to cover the remains of an evil spirit that was subdued at this spot. Legend says that the evil spirit manifested as a gigantic snake. It is located 41 km west of Trongsa at 2430 meters in elevation.
