Cycling

The Tourism Council of Bhutan have designated several routes for bicycling in Thimphu, Punakha, Wangdi Phodrang, Bumthang and Trashigang districts. It can be difficult over long distances due to immense steep passes to cross. Among the officially recommended routes are the trials from Khuruthang to Punakha via Samdingkha (17km), and from Bajo to Tsochagsa via Jangsabu (40km), and many more. You paddle the pads over two miles above sea level. Your effort will be rewarded with a breathtaking view and an treasure able experience. River Rafting & Kayaking
There are few rivers in Bhutan where tourism Council of Bhutan is encouraging such activities, mostly ranging in difficulty from grade III to grade V. Certain stretches of white water have been designated for rafting and kayaking on the Paro-chu, the Pho-chu and Mo-chu, tributaries of Punatsang-chu, as well as Dang-chu around Wangdi Phodrang and further till Kuri-chu in Lhuentse.
The river courses available offer something for all visitors, regardless of experience. Easy routes for beginners and hair-raising runs for the veterans, apart from rafts and kayaks, we also organise walking and trekking expeditions along the scenic river banks.
